Return on Culture Report

From 2016 to 2018, consulting firm Grant Thornton (GT) undertook a groundbreaking two-year study alongside the global research experts at Oxford Economics (OE). The first-of-its-kind study demonstrated a quantifiable link between company culture and financial performance — something that executives had always suspected, but never been able to measure — and thus further positioned GT as an innovator and expert in the consulting and advisory sector.

Working for creative agency gyro (2016 Ad Age B2B agency of the year), and in conjunction with GT and OE, I wrote the business-facing report for the study. Doing so required understanding and organizing a multitude of highly specific data unearthed by the study, as well as striking a tone that was strong/punchy enough to satisfy GT and technical/accurate enough to satisfy OE.

The result was the most challenging and rewarding content piece I’ve ever worked on.

I also wrote the script and provided visual direction for a video promoting the Return on Culture report. The video leveraged interviews with Grant Thornton personnel along with stock footage, kinetic type, and simple animation.

Purple Paladins Promo Video

In 2019, Grant Thornton launched its Purple Paladins initiative. The program is designed to boost individuals and organizations making a difference in their communities. Along with writing a press release and an internal manifesto, I wrote the script and provided visual ideation for this Purple Paladins promotional video, which leverages simple animation and kinetic type.
