Viega: Forced Air Blows
As Luke Sullivan of Hey Whipple fame says, every great campaign starts with a truth. “Forced air blows” was the truth we unearthed for Viega, a German engineering company specializing in commercial piping applications. Viega’s piping prowess makes it a leader in radiant, or in-floor, heating solutions.
Viega charged gyro with telling this story to its audience of mechanical engineers, architects, and building owners. Our objectives were first to spread awareness about radiant heating, then to promote Viega as the leading option.
We pitched several concepts to Viega. To our delight, they went with the most out-there choice: FORCED AIR BLOWS.
We brought this statement to life with visuals of educators, healthcare workers, and hospitality industry professionals—people who work in buildings where forced air has long wreaked havoc. Their overwhelmed and blown-back faces say it all: forced does, in fact, blow.

Viega: The Best of Both Worlds
Viega has brought world-renowned German engineering to commercial and residential piping applications since 1889. But it took over 120 years for Viega to begin manufacturing in the United States.
Consumers associate American production with increased quality, an investment in local economies, and increased supply chain reliability. To convey these value ads, I concepted and wrote copy for a series of print ads highlighting the combined power of German engineering and American manufacturing.
